Although I have never written a review about a Little Book release, I can say with certainty that I am a fan of these products. Including this release, I have the 2021, 2023, and 2024 releases on my shelves and hope to have reviews for each of these sometime this year. However, this bottle definitely needed to be released sooner rather than later! Today’s review comes from the James B. Beam Distilling Co. and is of the Little Book Edition 1: “The Infinite.”

From the Little Book Website: Our very first edition. The liquid that will form the foundation of the infinity barrel. Once a year, I’ll bottle some up for the world to try. Then, I’ll explore how to push the profile forward through blending. So, savor this whiskey today, and come back in a year for its next evolution.

With that said, let’s get our taste on!

  • Distiller: Distilled and Bottled by James B. Beam Distilling Co.
  • Mash Bill: Undisclosed
  • Proof: 119.3
  • Age: NAS
  • Year: 2024
  • 2024 MSRP: $199
  • 2024 National Average: $325
  • Official Website

Surprisingly, this bottle was quite easy to find in the NoCo area and is still available in several stores. However, I do owe a huge shout-out to Parker at Fort Collins Warehouse Liquors for letting me know that this and a few other bottles were available to purchase; thank you greatly, sir! Now, I know I have never reviewed a Little Book product, yet I have four on my shelves including this bottle. This product line from Jim Beam is my jam, and “The Infinite” did not let me down!

Overall, this release is an amazing fruit bomb mixed with sweetness, spice, and everything nice! Now I know the price is ridiculous, but this is a damn solid Bourbon; well done James B. Beam Distilling. I would, however, recommend trying this bottle before buying, due to the cost and overall heat/spice this bourbon offers. With that said, let’s get our taste on!

  • Nose: Cinnamon, Brown Sugar, Vanilla, Fruitiness (Apple/Pear/Cherry), Baking Spice, and Charred Oak
  • Palate: Strawberry, Cherry, Vanilla Cream Frosting, Brown Sugar, Baking Spice, Oak, Cinnamon, and Leather
  • Finish: Long Colorado Winter Hug that Goes For Days! Strong Ending Notes of Oak, Baking Spice, and Sweet Vanilla Bean
  • My Rating: Drink It!/Save It! (I know the price is ridiculous, but this is a damn solid Bourbon; well done James B. Beam Distilling)

Please remember, drinking bourbon is a personal adventure, so do not be afraid to drink it neat, with ice, or add some water. It’s your bourbon, you bought it, and you should enjoy it how you want to enjoy it!

Cheers! Prost! Sláinte!
