I will be the first to admit that my journey in bourbon started with watching several WhiskeyTubers such as ADHD Whiskey, The Bourbon Junkies, and The Mash and Drum. I list each of these three above, as their journeys have blossomed over the last several years. ADHD Whiskey is now working for Barrel King, The Bourbon Junkies have opened Evernorth Spirits Co, and now, Jason of The Mash and Drum is starting his own whiskey brand. Today’s review is blended by Jason Callori of Mash and Drum, bottled by Old Road Craft Spirits Inc. (Barrel King Bourbon), and is his first release of DrumKey Spirits, The Debut.

Unfortunately, this can not be found in Colorado or the NoCo area. If you are interested in this bottle, you will need to go through the Barrel King Bourbon’s website (https://barrelking.com/) and click “Mash and Drum.” This actual release is now sold out; however, Jason has mentioned that he plans to release several new batches in the near future.

Overall, this is an excellent blended bourbon with great notes of berries and cream, vanilla, and baking spice throughout. As I mentioned above, I have followed Jason in his journeys for several years, and I am quite excited for this next step, as his palate definitely aligns with mine, and the bourbon industry needs more releases like this. With that said, let’s get our taste on!

• Nose: Berries and Cream, Vanilla, Cherry, Baking Spice, and Sweet Oak
• Palate: Baking Spice, Vanilla Cream, Raspberry/Blackberry, Sweet Oak, and Flat Cherry Cola
• Finish: Long with Lasting Notes Sweet Oak, Vanilla Cream, and Baking Spice
• My Rating: Drink It! (Bravo Mr. Callori, Questo è un ottimo bourbon! This is excellent bourbon, and I can not wait for more releases!)
