These Manic Monday Reviews will be short and sweet. There will be basic background information, a bottle review, and will be posted irregularly; unlike the weekly Friday reviews. These reviews will focus on older or past releases, single barrel releases, bottles that were lost or forgotten on my shelf, or whenever I just want to focus on the bourbon, not the write-up. With that said, today’s review is of Bond & Lillard Bourbon Whiskey.

Bottle Information

As stated by the Campari Group: Distilled and bottled and at the Wild Turkey distillery in Lawrenceburg, KY, this Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey is aged a minimum of seven years in timber warehouses and is charcoal filtered. This filtration process simulates the aeration process that happens in the barrel, converting more aggressive congeners to esters that end in more elegant top notes. The result is a lighter colored and flavored bourbon with more floral notes.

  • Distiller: Distillerd and Bottled by The American Medicinal Spirits Co (Wild Turkey/Campari)
  • Mash Bill: Undisclosed
  • Proof: 100
  • Age: 7
  • Year: 2025
  • MSRP: $60/375ml

With that said, let’s get our taste on!

  • Nose: Oak, Citrus, Caramel, and Spice
  • Palate: Citrus, Oak, Caramel, Baking Spice, and Bitter Nuttiness
  • Finish: Medium with Ending Notes Dry Oak and Bitter Nuttiness
  • My Rating: Donate It! (I had a pour of this at the Wild Turkey Distillery and really liked it. Perhaps it was the experience or the atmosphere, maybe it was a different batch and I did not notice. Nonetheless, this bottle, from 2025, is not worth the what I paid for it…)

Please remember, drinking bourbon is a personal adventure, so do not be afraid to drink it neat, with ice, or add some water. It’s your bourbon, you bought it, and you should enjoy it how you want to enjoy it!

Cheers! Prost! Sláinte!
