First and foremost, Bourbon Bossman® is going nowhere. I started this journey with bourbon nearly five years ago now and have no plans to end it. I have come to love waking up early on Saturday mornings and researching for the release calendar, finding/tasting/reviewing a newly released bourbon is still just as thrilling as it was five years ago, and Mrs. Bourbon Bossman knows how much I talk about and enjoy our annual trips to Kentucky. Nonetheless, sometimes things change in our personal lives, and we have to pivot a bit. Thus, Bourbon Bossman® will look a little different moving forward as I pivot in my personal life to better my health.

Now I am not going to get into the particulars of these changes, as those are personal, and if you have learned by now, this site is about bourbon, not me; I mean, I do not even have a picture of myself on this site. Maybe one day that will change, as several people have asked “for the face behind Bourbon Bossman®,” but that is not today. So to keep this section short, let’s clearly state I am fine, I am not dying nor quitting bourbon, and I am actually healthily losing weight by the week. No, I am not on the shots; this first thing I always get asked, but I have personal goals, and to make this happen, extra bourbon calories must be limited moving forward.

So, what will Bourbon Bossman® look like moving forward? To start, I am moving reviews from every Friday to every other Friday starting in June. I hope to continue this moving forward, but I will be honest that there may be times that this new personal journey limits me to only a monthly review… this is still unknown. I plan to continue to update the Bourbon Release Calendar every Saturday morning, and I have actually been working on some more in-depth articles about the bourbon industry that I would like to release monthly or every other month. So really, just fewer bourbon reviews, which does suck for both me and those who visit this site for just that.

Nonetheless, I appreciate everyone who has subscribed to Bourbon Bossman® and visited this site over the past five years. As I have stated in the past, I did not create this as a way to generate money, nor will this site ever become that, as I have a professional career. This is just purely a hobby that I started as a creative writing outlet with a new hobby, never thinking that over 250k people a year would visit the site, and that over 250 people would subscribe to my weekly reviews. So again, thank you to everyone, and I look forward to continuing to write, review, and enjoy this bournon journey with all of you.

Please remember, drinking bourbon is a personal adventure, so do not be afraid to drink it neat, with ice, or add some water. It’s your bourbon, you bought it, and you should enjoy it how you want to enjoy it!
