Happy New Year’s and welcome to 2026 with Bourbon Bossman®! This is a bottle that I have eyed for several years now, yet I have always found it after the New Year. So when I saw this bottle a month before New Year’s, I said why not, let’s ring in 2026 with literally a bottle that is created for just that! Today’s review comes from Barrell Craft Spirits and is their annual release of Barrell Bourbon New Year 2026.

In the NoCo area, these bottles can typically be found after the New Year, January or February, and many of the 2025 bottles are still on shelves. Overall, this is a well-balanced sweet and spicy bourbon at a very welcoming proof for all and I could drink this pour all year long! With that said, let’s get our taste on!
- Nose: Stonefruit (Peach/Apricot), Red Apple, Vanilla, Baking Spice, and Brown Sugar
- Palate: Vanilla, Peach, Apricot, Apples, Baking Spice, Brown Sugar, and Slight Oak
- Finish: Medium to Long with lasting Notes of Baking Spice and All Kinds of Sweet Fruits!
- My Rating: Drink It!/Save It! (This is an amazingly sweet, spicy, and super fruity bourbon that I could drink all year long!)
Please remember, drinking bourbon is a personal adventure, so do not be afraid to drink it neat, with ice, or add some water. It’s your bourbon, you bought it, and you should enjoy it how you want to enjoy it!
Cheers! Prost! Sláinte!
