FOMO has struck again! I sat here for months watching and reading about these new releases from Calumet Farms celebrating their 100 Year Anniversary. We searched hi an low and all across Colorado with no luck, and then I decided to check their website, and low and behold I was able to order a bottle, or maybe two, directly from them; so of course I had too. Today’s review comes from the Calumet Farm Brand and is their 100 year anniversary release of Calumet Farm 18-Year-Old Trophy Decanter Centennial Bourbon.

As I mentioned above, unfortunately, we did not see any of these celebratory releases from Calumet in the NoCo area. OOverall, I can say with almost 100% certainty that this will be my top bourbon and maybe even whiskey of 2025. This bottle, although extremely costly, is the pivotal example of an ultra-aged bourbon. Classic notes of caramel, vanilla, and baking spice, mixed with cherry cola, and the perfect balance of oak make this an absolutely phenomenal pour that I look forward to sharing with friends and family. With that said, let’s get our taste on!
- Nose: Vanilla, Flat Cherry Cola, Caramel, Oak, and Baking Spice
- Palate: Vanilla Cream, Caramel, Cherry Cola, Baking Spice, and Oak
- Finish: Long Beautiful Colorado Winters Hug with lasting notes of Sweet Vanilla Cream, Oak, and Baking Spice
- My Rating: Save It! (My god…I absolutely hate that this bottle costs so much because it is absolutely phenomenal! Dare I say this is a perfect pour and I might be crazy enough to consider another bottle 😮💨)
Please remember, drinking bourbon is a personal adventure, so do not be afraid to drink it neat, with ice, or add some water. It’s your bourbon, you bought it, and you should enjoy it how you want to enjoy it!
Cheers! Prost! Sláinte!
