These Manic Monday Reviews will be short and sweet. There will be basic background information, a bottle review, and will be posted irregularly; unlike the weekly Friday reviews. These reviews will focus on older or past releases, single barrel releases, bottles that were lost or forgotten on my shelf, or whenever I just want to focus on the bourbon, not the write-up. With that said, today’s review is of Bardstown Bourbon Company Collaborative Series Silver Oak.
Bottle Information
From the Bardstown Bourbon Company website: For over fifty years, Silver Oak has created exquisite California cabernets aged exclusively in premium oak barrels, establishing themselves as a trailblazer in Napa, CA. Finding the perfect balance of fruit to barrel notes, this expression features a custom blend of 9 to 14 year-old bourbon, which was then finished in Silver Oak barrels for 17 months, creating a beautiful balance of ripe fruit, caramel, and roasted nuts.
